Windows XP Media Center?

Question

worth creating a box with media center to make a DVR... or to just buy a stand alone?
has anyone done this?

Media Center is XP Professional with bells and whistles. If you get a TV turner card it should come with a program to record live tv. Alot of other programs have the ability to record live tv. The only benefit to Media Center is a seperate program that will intergrate all of your media types.
