Take our troops out of foreign countries, and stop offering them help with there internal affairs. Close our border to all immigrants for a few years and deport he aliens that are living here now. Those few step would be all we need to free our hands of the mess we have created.

Arrest, try and execute the terrorists: Curious George Bush, Dick "less" Cheney, Paul "wolf's lair" Wolfowitz, John "off with his head" Bolton, Richard "invest before the war and make money!" Perle, William Kristol-nacht, Ehud "zionazi" Olmert. (Sadly, Sharon the Butcher is dead and we won't get to see him hang.)
Also arrest, try and execute the propagandists: Annorexic Coultergeist, Rush Limpbals, Chris "George" Wallace, Shi^H^H^H Brit Hume, Armstrong "will write for payoffs" Williams, Haggie - oops, Maggie - Gallagher, and Ruprecht "in the dock" Murdoch. (Manufacturing war propaganda was considered a war crime under the Nuremburg conventions and several Nazi mouthpieces were imprisoned or executed.)
