Im starting a fast tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone knows how long id last without fainting (i dont wanna faint)...

Im 15, female, 5'4 and 120lbs/8st8 and im taking in only water and one glass of diet coke everyday... oh and 5 bits of sugar-free gum, a calorie a piece. Im exercising for 30 mins minimum a day, and i have harsh training on tuesday, and sports on wednesday thursday and friday night. So how long do you think il last on the above before fainting? No silly answers please i want the most honest, i will be awarding a best answer to the most helpful reply =]

I am trying to lose weight.

I currently purge (throw up on purpose) what i eat so if i fast then i wont be eating...

I wanna lose about 30lbs coz i feel fat ugly and disgusting at this weight

You will most likely feel really sick because i do if i have not eaten for a while, but if you are prone to fainting then this may happen after a day but it is hard to tell, just make sure you drink loads of water and do not become dehydrated, but arent you allowed to eat at night if you are fasting this is what i thought but maybe i wrong, is there anyway you could get out of doing all that training untill your fast is over? well hope everything works out for you and you do not faint!!

Honey...You don't need a fast...you need a doctor...You sound like a walking advertisement for ANOREXIA, and if you lose any more weight you'll start looking like a walking skeleton.
5'4 and 120 lbs is slender...
I hate to tell you this but "super model skinny" is starting to go out of style...And men like girls that look healthy, slender but HEALTHY, not like some escapee from a concentration camp...
Thank your lucky stars you have an almost perfect weight for your height and age.

A 24 hour fast once a month is excellent for cleaning oneself out from the inside, drink at least 1 and a half liters of water, and forget the diet coke...If you have nothing else in your stomach the acid based diet coke could wreak havoc on your insides! ! !

If you want to stay healthy become a vegetarian...The more veggies you eat, the better shape you will be in.
Even veggies have some "lighter" then others... Eat lots of broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, mushrooms, zucchini squash, they are the ones with lots of vitamins, and little calories.

And as for the fainting, it all depends on your constitution and stamina. What you don't want is to get to the point where your body says "I can't take any more, and I pass out"

Why are you fasting??

your weight sounds fine, I would not suggest drinking diet coke, as it contains caffeine, which may upset your stomach.

If you exercise without food (or energy) in your system, it would not take long for your pass out, as your system would not be able to cope.

Eating gum, sugar free or otherwise, is also not a good idea, as gum encourages your saliva glands to work, and this prompts your stomach to send out "hungry" messages, meaning you will feel very hungry.

Are you trying to lose weight, or gain attention (I am not being mean, I am interested), You sound a little unhappy.

If you are trying to lose weight, the best way is through sensible diet and exercise, not starving yourself.

are you doing a fast for charity?
if not, don't fast, we did it for charity for live aid when I was 15 and we were all nearly fainting after a few hours.
or are you doing it for hospital purposes where you starve for a few hours before an examination? In which case you can have clear soup and jelly

If it's not for a good reason I don't recommend doing it because you need all your nutrients at your age or you will be passing out

i am a 5`01 and i am a 112 !!!!!!

come on what are you doing !
would it be okay for you to faint or to suffer from anemia anorexia or to be polemic !!!!!!!!!!!

there was a girl that had all here teeth changed coz of the constant throwing up ( asides destroyed her teeth do you how how old she was ! 28 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30 albs that's like 90 albs for a 5`4 girl you would be really skinny ! ever been told that the curves are what differentiate us from the guys :)
and they are !!!!!!!!!

so be excessive or too hard ! just be HEALTY that's all what it takes

Take time once a 7 days to plan out and go shopping for meals and snacks so you're prepared whenever hunger strikes.

I have just read some of your other answers,
I don't think you you be asking us advise on how to starve yourself, you need to seek help from either a doctor or someone in your family.
Please do get help before things get out of control.
You can be slim and still be healthy by eating healthily and exercising.
