Something light and something that'll give you energy. Definitely avoid heavy food like pasta, burgers, pizzas, etc. I'd go with something with a lot of proteins. A tuna sandwich with fruits like bananas, apples, peaches or strawberries coupled with a granola bar is something I eat before a match. Sometimes I add a smoothie to it if I am still hungry. The thing is to NOT stuff yourself but load up with enough energy to last you through the match and not weigh you down.

Bananas because potassium gives you lots of energy. Maria Sharapova ate 4 bananas during a break in her match in the 2006 US Open and she won that match.

Don't eat heavy or greasy foods because that will upset your stomach and you wouldn't want that during a match.

Eat something that won't necessarily make you full, but something that will give you a lot of energy.

Like Sharapova and her bananas!

Something that wont make you stuffed. Maybe an apple and sandwich . Eat light or you'll get sick. I go to the gym everynight and 1 night i ate heavy and i got sick. So have a snack or something. Good luck in your match

1. Hydrate yourself by drinking alot of water, or drink a water-based product that contains lots of electrolytes. Avoid acidic juices.

2. Keep your stomach relatively empty and maximize your physical comfort by eating only a small amount of "clean" food. Avoid foods that are greasy that could upset your stomach.
