The Smurfs on the TV now are so different, for 1 thing they talk normal, they're not meant to, they should be talking Smurf. Why Why Why?

Don't know why - but can remember the originals. My children always watched them on TV. They had badges, mugs and plates, ornaments, books and one even had a knitted jumper with Smurfs on. Them were the days when they were tots.

What I find amazing about the Smurfs is how Smurfette never managed to get knocked up living in a village fall of male smurfs. I wonder if it was a gay smurf village

its not the same, they are meant to have funny voices. i seem to remember the smurf song which was in the charts in the 80s and also at petrol stations for every so many gallons of petrol you could get a small plastic smurf.

GIRL! You are dating yourself. And yes I used to watch back in the days before everything remote control. Now that the entertainment world seems to have run out of new ideas, they have taken it upon themselves to go back in time and recreate (or rather ruin) good shows from the past. Nothing is sacred anymore. They ruined films like the The Amytiville Horror, The Fog and don't get me started with what they did to Scooby Doo. It's truly a shame. I can't remember the last time I saw a contemporary film that was truly great or anything on TV that actually caught my attention long enough to mute the commercials. Sad, but true.

People grow up and are too old to watch the Smurfs. So they change it thinking no one will know.

I loved the smurfs as a kid, the original versions are always the best. My bro and I use to collect the figurines. Now and again my dad would buy us one each from the Petrol Station and put them under our pillows. Aahhhh!

I used to watch it with my youngest brother and loved how they talked, we have a guy on our street that looks just like Papa Smurf.

September 12th 1981, I even have a double album of smurfing songs!! It is in my loft but i am sure i had that before 1981!

absolutely i loved sat morning lookin for the smurfs and strawberry short cake, care bares, yeah they do that when they remake old show s and then ruin it
