Have you ever tried the acne treatment from Mary Kay? My son's dermatologist told me that the stuff is better than anything he could prescribe, my son used it, and his acne actually went away. As far as I know the tube of acne treatment from Mary Kay is 7 dollars, so that is not so bad.
As far as covering up your acne with make up goes you can try to put a good covering light foundation on your acne and then put the usual color of foundation in your face---the trick is that a lighter color under the darker color will help conceal the acne.
For the acne treatment:

well that's tough to say...since you have acne i'm going to take a shot in the dark and assume that you have oily skin. based on that assumption then you should make-up that is 100% oil free and use a light foundation b/c you don't want to look skanky with too much make-up on to cover up your acne. what i did was i saw my docter, not dermatologist and she perscribed a facewash and a product called differin and differin is a miracle worker. wash ur face twice a day, any more than that could severly dry out your face. and be sure to wash all of ur make-up off every day so that it doesn't clog ur pores. and find makeup that is oil free but won't dry out ur skin.

Green coloured cover stick. Also if acne is really bad ask your doctor if you can try an antibiotic (low dose over extended period is the norm). Good Luck.........I promise that you won't have it for ever and don't pick to much scaring will last..

There are some great concealers out there. I personally like neutrogena, it contains ingredients to rid the blemish as well as heal the skin.
It takes just a dab. If you need to sooth the raised area prior to using concealer, try some with hazel.

Depends how bad the acne is I suppose. Try getting rid of it first - a miracle cure is Quinoderm, it really really works, but not sure if it's available in the US.

Avon and mark. have great products. Your skin type determines what product is right for you.
As for make-up, Avon Personal Match Cream-to Powder foundation is excellent. Once your foundation is set, apply concealer and blend.
You can contact me through my website for an "email skin care and beauty consultation."

I've heard it's best to use an oil based concealer.
