Hide it inside a binder. It's so obvious no one will look there. I have it in my bookshelf and my little brothers haven't found it yet.

Heres a great idea and this is what I do. Put your journal on the computer in an encrypted file. Use a keylenth of at least 128. Use a password you can remember but not somthing like a phone number or birthday. Ex. A random bar code, street adress, or drivers license number.
Not good with computers...
Write what you want in MS Word, click on:
TOOLS> Options> Security (tab)
In the top box (password to open) enter your password.
Click OK and the document is secure.
Hope this helps!

If you have a bathroom sink that's on a cabinet (not a pedestal sink) open the door and check the bottom. Most are just laid in place. Push up on it from under the kick space and it should lift right up and have a void underneath. Also check your dressers. You might be able to hang it under a drawer with velco.

Hide the journal in plain sight among other books,as a book. Example go to your local resale shop buy a book of similiar size (non interesting to anyone else but you) pull out the pages and glue in your spined journal.Place on book shelf in plain sight

Cut a hole in your wall and then hang a picture over the hole but you have to make sure that you don't hit wires and the studs in the wall and make a small shelf and hang in side so the journal won't fall down in side the wall !

You can get a journal with a lock . They sell them everywhere, like Barnes@Nobles. Then you don't have to hide it, just lock it and have a key with you all the time.

Put it in a resealable gallon freezer bag and hide it in the back of the freezer, behind your frozen items.

i like the idea someone had about the binder, why not make it even easier and use a dust jacket from another similar sized book and put it on your book shelf.
or...
if your car has seats the fold up like mine, you could put it under one of those seats...

I used to put mine under my mattress. Under you underwear is good, too. No one wants to rummage through that.
