First, go to a department store and get a free makeover (Clinique is the best, and the least expensive). Tell the cosmetician EXACTLY what your looking for so that they don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. Clinique is excellent because they are honest and it is important to use what works best for your skin, and that is what they're there for. If you chose them, it should probably run you between $50 to$100.

Avon has excellent, but inexpensive skin care and make-up. How much you need depends on how your skin looks and how many colors you want.
