Why do thousands of people everyday speak for animals because animals cannot speak for themselves, but when it comes to humans not a word is said? When hundreds of babies who can't speak are murdered because of the inconvience they present it's okay. Is it because we haven't met them they aren't alive. Or maybe because they can't talk. And how come when we pronouce someone dead its because there heart has stopped beating but a infants heart starts beating at around one month but they aren't "alive". Why is it that murder is illegal but abortion is legal? Check out this site WWW.BUBBLESWEB.ZOOMSHARE.COM and go to debates so i can answer your debate!

I am prochoice; but strongly believe a woman's choice about pregnancy is strictly hers at time of intercourse, unless, of course, the pregnancy is the result of a rape. With today's technology, I definitely do not advise any woman to carry and give birth to a rapist's child! Therefore, if you are raped, immediately report incident and seek medical help!

Though I am generally liberal or moderate libertarian, I diverge on this point.

This is a complex question that requires the knowledge of when life begins. I would say I am generally pro-life but instances of incest, rape, health of the mother, and severe birth defects I am pro-choice.

Also, I feel that abortions early stage, where the child clearly is not yet feeling or thinking are not ideal, but I am more open to being pro-choice at this point. I also have no objection to responsible embryonic stem-cell research which promotes life.

Pro-choice advocates love to say "it's my body, if I don't want to have a child, I shouldn't have to." In my opinion once you have become pregnant that choice is no longer yours to make.

I also see a problem that the decision to have an abortion is 100% the mother's decision when the genetic material is just as much the father's as it is the mother's.

Legally, I feel that in the United States Roe v. Wade was misguided because there are so many things we cannot do to our own bodies which are not considered an invasion of privacy, and these don't involve termination of a life. Ultimately, I see the issue of abortion being a State Issue.

I've always pondered this, asking myself many of the same questions like you've just posed. The same people that are flabbergasted at the way chikens are treated by big corporations like Tyson or KFC would be utterly offended if you suggested that abortion is murder. And likewise, many liberals who are adamantly against the death penalty would turn around and tell you that women have a right to choose, forgetting about the rights of the unborn.

On the other hand, why are many so called conservatives who call themselves "pro-life," so stubbornly resolute on their arguments in favor of capitol punishment or continuing the war in Iraq?

You are going to anger a lot of feminazis. Good job. You have to inhumanize the situation by announcing that the child is not a child. Logically, if you can stop something from becoming a living human, it is alive.

You will hear arguments that it is the woman's right to choose, yet the man has no choice in the matter. These same pro-Choice people are against the person's freedom to invest for their own retirement, send their kids to non-government run schools, etc.

There is little rationality to these people. These same people think it is ok to let minor's have abortions without the parents knowing. They quote that abortion must be legal for rape, incest, and risk to the life of the mother. These 3 are so few of the acutal abortions.

My slogan is I am pro-Choice: Choose to keep your legs closed.

I prefer to answer here, I need the points:)

1-I hear hundreds of people, almost every day, speaking for fetuses. You for example.

2-A person is not declared dead when their heart stops, it is when there brain ceases to function. And the point at wich life ends is not relevant here. The question is, when does life begin? The legal consensus is that life begins when the fetus could survive without the mother. That is why there are limits to how late in a pregnancy an abortion can be preformed.

That is a liberal thing. They are all for animal rights, "convicted criminals" rights, not to be executed, but if a person speaks up for for a fetus's rights they get all bent out of shape, and gab about the "women's" rights.
This does not make sense to me cause there is adoption.
They think it is more cruel to give a child up for adoption then "murder" the child through abortion.
Can someone tell me where the sense or humanity is there. It is pure selfishness.

a person is not pronounced dead until their heart stops and all bodily functions cease. You can have no brain function and still technically be alive. As to the abortion topic, I am pro life. I believe that a baby is living once a zygote is formed. Don't know what that is? Go look it up or go away.

Well, the first thing is that I wouldn't say that nobody says a word when it comes to abortion. There are always loud mouthed protesters on the subject of abortion. And it isn't always done just because of inconvience, sometimes it really is for the better.

they have a heartbeat but no brain that young and no organs. People get abortions for a myriad of reason some people really can't afford them and don't say adoption. Thousands of children get turned into the streets at 18 because no one adopted them. Why don't you believe people have choices it is still in their body

I think that abortion is a piss poor means of birth control, however I do not think that the government ought to make moral decisions for us, when the government legislates morality that is a sign that the educations system is failing. This is a decision between a woman and a doctor. The only one that is capable of deciding if it is right or wrong is God. You and I can just educate and hope for the best.
