Yea...hopefully you won't have that mean looking snarl on your face. (Smile!) And VERY IMPORTANT>>> Don't drink & don't use drugs. My best friend in high school was killed by a drunk driver, (her drunk boyfriend). That was 25 years ago last week. He got out of prison 2 years ago. She died at the young age of 17 and he's spent 23 years in the penitentiary for manslaughter...all because they thought it would be cute to sneak a bottle of rum into the homecoming dance. Her parents have never fully recovered and it just sucks all around.

You could bring a purse for lipstick, brush, mirror, driver's licese, but don't bring anything you can't "afford" to lose. Try to leave it with a girlfriend or teacher while you dance if it's an expensive or cherished bag!
Don't drink alcohol -- not just because it's illegal, but because you might like to remember this event & if you drink -- you may not!!! Also, many people over drink & you CAN DIE from drinking too much -- look it up on the net -- alcohol poisoning!!!
Also, VERY IMPORTANT don't leave your drink or food unattended. There have been quite a few cases of different drugs being placed in food & esp. in drinks -- "date rape" drugs, etc. So finish your food or drink b4 leaving the table & try to always get a new-clean glass for each new drink you have!!!!!!! I hate to know there are bad people out there -- sometimes even people we "trust" (including boyfriends who might be pressured into doing something dangerous to you), but there are some bad "eggs" out here & sometimes they can lead good people astray !!!
If you live in a cool or cold climate don't forget coat, gloves, hat, etc. Leave them in the car if you can't "check" them or have a friend keep an eye on them when you can't. If you have diabetes find out in advance if there's a place you can keep your meds safe -- that goes for anyone on meds.
If your shoes aren't broken in, bring a pair that is -- just in case -- you don't want shoes ruining your night!!!
Make SURE TO TAKE LOTS OF FOTOS & make SURE ** YOU ** ARE in THEM !!!!! You'll be glad you did years from now!!!
My first homecoming dance is still my happiest memory (1 of them) & I even have a foto of it on my dresser !!! Have a WONDERFUL TIME !!! BARBIE
