Approximately how many people are born worldwide in a year? -Even better if you can give the approximate ratio of men to women as well. (People who plan to reply "lots" need not apply)

Tough to find answer for this question, but as of July 2006, according to the CIA World Factbook, there were 20.05 births/1,000 population.

From the same source, the ratio of men to women is about 1.01 men per woman, as of this year.

in 1997, i read an article in a magazine, it says that every second born six babies. the number probably increased rapidly.
