..........time without some sort of a military conflict happening on the face of the earth ? Or have we all been at war with each other since the dawn of time? I know that in my lifetime, I haven't and I am quite old.

not sure historically, but currently, there are approximately 60 wars going on.

**shrugs** What can I say...we human beings like conflict. If we didnt, daytime soaps, sports and reality tv would cease to exist.
War is something that will not go away...you can look at the world through rose colored glasses, but the stench will never change.
Even though everyone is looking at the middle east, it is not the only conflict/war going on right now, but it IS the one receiving the most attention.

Probably not, but don't fret. Wars are unnatural, so stick to that, and we can bring all conflict to an end.

I suspect, unfortunately, that there hasn't been such a time.
It's just that with technology, the scale of the wars and the awareness of them is increased.
