"The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time" by Mark Haddon
Kind of a mystery novel whose narrator and "detective" is an autistic kid. It's really great.

"Cold Comfort Farm" by Stella Gibbons is a fun and romantic read.

Elizabeth George's series of Detective Lynley mysteries is very good. The lives of the detectives are nearly as interesting as the cases they solve.

Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. When Bella Swan moves to the small, rainy Olympic Peninsula town of Forks to live with her reclusive dad, the last thing she expects is to fall in love. But she does, and, sort of unfortunately, it's with the gorgeous vampire Edward Cullen. Suspenseful and romantic, and completely awesome! New Moon is the sequel, and watch for Eclipse, book three, coming out soon.

The Goose Girl and Enna Burning by Shannon Hale. The Goose Girl is based on the old Brother's Grimm fairy tale about a princess disguised as a goose-tender, with a peculiar talent of communicating with birds and the wind. Not dead-on romance, but peppered with the fun of first love. Enna Burning tells the story of Enna, one of the key characters from The Goose Girl, and how she masters her own magical talents and finds true love. Both are unforgetable reads!

Don't Die, Dragonfly and the rest of The Seer series, by Linda Joy Singleton. Amazing! Sabine Rose is a psychic teenager trying to blend in, but that just doesn't seem possible. Filled with fun romance, and the rest of the series will not disappoint.

Uglies, by Scott Westerfield. Sci-fi at its best! (I normally hate science fiction but this I loved.) There is plenty of romance though the heart of the story is about accepting yourself. Part of a trilogy.

A Mango-Shaped Space by Wendy Mass. Very unexpected, and just a great book!!!

Cobwebs by Karen Romano Young. Girl meets boy...balancing on the edge of the Brooklyn Bridge...and an adventure begins. Amazing and subtly romantic.

Enjoy and happy reading.

Harry Potter series by: J.K. Rowling. I won't explain those because, yeah, everyone knows about them.

Twin Sister and Twin Terror by: Janice Harrell is about twins seperated at birth. Isabel lives with her estranged father, while Elizabeth lieves with her jetsetting mother. One day Elizabeth gets the news that her sister has been murdered. She immediately sets off for her father's place, and takes over her sister's life. But she may be in more danger than she originally thought, because the murderer thinks she's her sister, and is coming for her. Romance/Mystery. Make sure to get or have avaiable both books, because the first one leaves you hanging.

The Bar Code Tattoo by: Suzanne Weyn its interesting. Its set in the future and its the tattoo that everyon'e getting. It hold your bank accounts, your address, your number, where you are at all times, it holds your identity. It controls you. Kayla refuses, she's now an outcast, on the run from the government, can she escape? And what is the dark secret behind that tattoo. Got some romance in it, just interesting read.

Premonitions series by: Jude Watson is full of mystery as Gracie uses her powers to help track down murderers and dimented criminals as she struggles with the everyday life of being a teen.

Inheritence Trilogy by:Christopher Paolini packed full with action and adventure, spiced with fantasy. A young boy by the name of Eragon finds a dragon egg and raises it. He is destined for great things, as he joins the ranks of the legendary Dragon Riders.

Twilight and New Moon by: Stephenie Meyer, which would have to be my favorite series. Its about Isabella(Bella) Swan, age 17, who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her dad after her mother remarries. Here she instantly is popular with everyone, save a small group that keeps to themselves. And more so one boy in particular who at first seems to loathe her existence (Edward). But as time passes, Bella learns the secret to Edward Cullen's family, and learns to love him dearly. But can their love keep them together, or the differences between them destined to break them apart? Romance. Absolutely loved it.

Midnighter series by: Scott Westerfield. Its about a secret hour known as the Blue Hour where time freezes, and only a few are allowed to dwell in it. A time when beasts roam, and the clocks stand still. A time that Jessica Day knew nothing about, and now she's the most wanted Midnighter of them all. Got some romance/action/adventure/supernatural. A good read.

Maximum Ride by: James Patterson is about six kids who are victimes of a horrible experiment. The leader of them, Max, is hearing voices in her head. She and her team struggle to escape the hold of the scientists and their Erasers (dog/human experiments) as they try to live in peace. But can that ever happen for a human that's 2 percent bird? has some romance between Max and Fang, mainly sci-fi and action. good once you get into the story
