I'm so nervous. Flying with Ryanair from Doncaster Uk to Dublin, Ireland. Apart from been Claustrophobic and dreading the flight I'm confussed re what you can pack and where to put stuff. Ie what goes in hand luggage and what goes in the hold. I.E I've heard strange stuff re medication, glasses, books, jewellery etc. Any advice or tips would be great. I'm a total novice and scared of messing up.

Try not to be nervous.
An easy thing to say, but not so easy in practice.Flying is a very safe way to travel.
In terms of what you could pack where, you do need to check with the airline for any restrictions and anything that is just plain dangerous.

For me, I only carry valuables (camera, phone, passport, wallet) and things I need on the journey (Books etc) as hand luggage but you would be surprised what others carry.

There's absolutely nothing to worry about regarding the flight (I've done it dozens of times), it's short (about 40 to 45 mins).
As far as regulations on luggage are concerned either go to the Ryanair website or contact them. They'll tell you everything you need to know.
When you get here enjoy you visit. Ireland can be a fun place.

Good news is it will be a very short flight!!! Contact the airline you are flying with to find out what regulations they have regarding luggage.
I am not to thrilled about flying but I have accumulated around 40,000 sky miles in the last few years and I am still around to answer your question!! You will be fine just remember that there are a lot of people looking at that plane to make sure it safe to take off.

By coincidence a friend of mine has just done the identical flight to you from Robin Hood to Dublin. It is a good flight for a ' 'first' flight, as he was telling me it only lasts about 40 minutes!

Just be on your guard and keep your luggage close to you. Check out your local government travel sites as to what you can and cannot carry. You will be fine. I have travelled alone before, i chose to see it as an adventure!!!!

if you are catholic make sure you go to the right side of belfast - the catholics live in east or west belfast and the protestants live in the other - I get them confused. If you are a Brit they will gut you in the catholic part of belfast -- go to the protestant part
