Stick with the "can you hear me now guy"! Consumer Reports does a survey once a year, and consistently for the past 3+ years Verizon is always on top with dropped calls and reception. I can personally vouch for that as well!! :o)
Price, I would say they are not the cheapest, but sometimes you get what you pay for!!
The biggest down side for them is that they make you renew your contract when you change your calling plan. So if you have a lot of instability as far as minute usage and are on a tight budget, be careful!! You can never get that fact out of the associates without prying it out of them!!!
They also do the new every two phone plan which is nice! ($100 credit for a new phone every 2 years)
Make sure to get an LG phone not a Motorola. Don't get suckered into to a razor because they look cool ;o)
Here's the link to CR, but you need an on line subscription to get most of the details! It is in the January Issue they rate all the cell phone stuff! (go to the library and look it up!)
hope this helps!

T-Mobile - I have been with T-Mobile since it was Voice Stream (early in 2000) and I just signed onto a Family Plan that covers 3 phones for 3000 shared minutes, unlim. weekends and nights, no roaming charges, and unlim. text and picture msgng. -- for a total of $140 a month for all three lines. And just got a Blackberry Pearl (a SWEET data device) phone/data device with unlim. internet access for another $20 a month - it's smaller than our RAZRs. The same party that got the Pearl had a data device with Verizon and their bill was over $180 a month. I encouraged them to switch. T-Mobile customer service is outstanding. I have no experience with Verizon or Cingular so cannot comment, but I do have experience with Sprint and they get a giant THUMBS DOWN from me.

I would say Verison has the best service, and customer service, at the same time I don't like having a two year contract, I feel really tied down by it. I prefer a 1 year contract bu they have no deals for a 1 year contract like T-mobile does.

I like Verizon and Cingular, they are both GREAT networks, if you are thinking about getting a new phone, I like cingular. You get free nights, weekends and family calls. You also get free text messages for the first 6 months.

I had cingular for 5 years with no problems then the last 2 months i got double charged and they wiped out my roll over minutes so i dropped service and went to sprint. I have nothing but problems with them too. So I wouldnt recommend cingular or sprint.

My mom and father and family participants insist on AT&T (Cingular) that's ok different than i want T-cellular with the aid of fact i'm a brilliant texter and that i want an entire qwerty keyboard with out having a blackberry or a blackjack. AT&T is sturdy for households with the aid of total deals they supply like purchase one telephone and get 3 extra. Plus texting limitless is notably dang inexpensive. Oh yet, waiting for an improve takes perpetually! 2 years after purchase of modern telephone. Rippp-offf! Thye have alot of telephones that have cameras and a few of them different stuff too, working example my advert has the sync which has the equipped in stuff yet he has 3 ipod nanos already! and you will text cloth ON each telephone. each PLAN and enterprise has that. purely make effective that is enabled :) Btw, I stay in Denver. Isnt that strange (IDK, im suger severe ceremony now)
