Ride it out until the next bs rumor starts. This is what gossip is and is all about. The next juicy story will get their tongues a wagging and they'll forget all about this because it will be yesterday's news. It will go on and on story after story. Some people just have nothing better to do.

I grew up in a small community of about 800 people and it's very hard to stomp out rumors about yourself or your friends. I never personally had to deal with that, but I knew a couple of people that did. There's really noting that you can do except just ignore it. I know that sounds really hard, but whenever that boyfriend or that girl or friends of those two hear the rumors, they just need to tell the person that it's not true, and that it's really none of their business what's going on in their lives.
Eventually, something else will come up and the rumors will die down and everyone will forget about it. It just takes a really really long time.

That's why I wouldn't share a secret. Sometimes when you think you can trust someone, they open their mouth and tell the whole world. It's sad to know you really and truly can't trust many people these days. People (with no lives) have a tendency to stretch the truth to make rumors seem more interesting and it doesn't help if they don't think highly of you to begin with. Everyone at one point or another will be talked about. It's sa part of life. I hope your friend will be okay. Tell him/her it'll take some time to recover and tell them not to stop their life because of an exagerated rumore.

A very troubling time for you I see....might I offer my opinion. First and foremost just remember a small community in many cases relies on gossip for entertainment. There really is no way to deal with false rumors other then denying then and remember that their name implies directly what they are. Rumors. Rumors are not fact. Never allow other peoples immaturatiy to affect you. This is something you must learn to deal with young in life before it manifests and causes serious problems for you as an adult and remember, eventually rumors die away to be replaced by fact. Do yourself the honor of not taking it seriousely. Allow it to pass without taking you with it. I trust you will be fine. Good day to you.

this happens a lot everywhere. the best thing to do is to keep your mouth shut about personal things like what your girlfriend does and doesnt.
the old addage that comes to mind is that three can keep a secret only if two of them are dead.
just dont say anything else and let the gossip wind down and try to make sure that you dont start anything else to go along with the problem.

Dude if your unit is a 7 you are well within the norm of what you should be. there is nothing to be ashamed or embarassed about. the size of your body may make it look like it is smaller than it really is but it isnt. dude be cool with your body and dis anything that everyone says about it. If they do say anything think of some clever responses like Yea like she got a tape and mesured it, or I havent had any complaints so far. No worries curtdud e

That is how you know its time to find another trust worthy friend. Obviously he wasn't a friend in the first place because he betrayed him. In a situation like that just pray to God and ask him to guide this situation in the right direction.

It depends on how much the small community means to them.
If they pay all your bills, then I'd say they are pretty important.
If not, then I don't see why you care what they think or say.
Make up rumors about them then see what happens.

I had the same problem growing up. My best friend told me that when they were talking about me they were leaving another poor s*b alone. Sometimes people just don't have anything better to do with their time.
Remember what Jesus told us? "Let those of you without sin cast the first stone."
Good luck!

Difficult thing, politics. Try to spread other rumours, but positive ones to people you know - and undermine those who you feel might be against. Is always helpful to use people who are great influencers. But stray away from those you can't control
