Two years ago I saw a lady nursing an accountant. She was actually nursing him! Or breast feeding or whatever you want to call it. I knew he was too old to be breast fed, and ever since then I've felt there is something suspicious about both professions.
It was at the university that I witnessed that, so to be fair, I will say that perhaps it was not those professions per se, but rather students in those fields. Nonetheless you got to admit, that does cast a dubious light on both nursing and accounting.

Nursing would provide you with great financial stability. There's a shortage. However, the hours can be long, esp. if you work in a hospital. You have to be good with people and work well under pressure. If you're more of an introvert, I'd suggest accounting, which offers good money opportunities, too.

you have to go with what you are more interested in. when you start to take classes you should get a feel for what you would rather be doing. both have long hours so don't let anyone tell you that accountants don't work long hours. accounting is a very broad field. with an accounting degree, you can work in almost any business field out there. remember money doesn't buy happiness so make sure it is something you are going to enjoy.

Taking a course depends on what you like to do and willing to do for a lot of yrs. to come. Which of the two courses you think you can be good at or can pass. Then know and weigh the pros and cons that comes with the jobs. Pick the one you enjoy or love to do, cause if you like what your doing you'll be good it. So there will be lot of possibilities for you to climb up and make more money.
Nursing is a much bigger paying job if your from asia, cause there are lot's of chances to work overseas like in the US and Europe. Money rate between countries makes a lot of difference. But it's also a risky job as your expose to life threating diseases that can be pass to you.

If you prefer numbers then do the accounting and get your CPA.
If you really like people and want to help them get better -- then nursing is great. Even think about being a Nurse Practioner. Working with older people will be much needed (geriatrics).

Well, as an accountant, I will have to add that accountants also have to be good with people, have to work long hours, and make good money.
Starting salary in Texas for an accountant with a degree and no experience is about $45,000. It is higher in larger cities and other parts of the country. There is a shortage of accountants in the U.S. and with all the new laws and regulations, there will be a shortage of accountants for years to come. There are lots of opportunities in accounting for all kinds of people. I don't think it's true that accountants are introverts...that is just part of a false stereotype. You have to deal with people just about all day, everyday.

Good News for you - You don't have to decide right now, talk to a counselor when you get to school, take classes in both and find out what you enjoy the most. Are you a numbers person or a people person. Either one will pay well and you will have flexability with both.
Good Luck
