Doctor's recommend that as soon as you find out you are pregnant, to stop taking birth control.

"If you continued taking your birth control pill because you didn't realize you were pregnant, don't be alarmed. Despite years of this accident happening, there's very little evidence that exposure to the hormons in birth control pills cause birth defects.

Still, the birth control pill is a potent estrogen. Lessons learned from women who took diethylstilbestrol-asynthetic estrogen that was later linked with cancer-to prevnet miscarriage in early pregancy suggest that such exposure should be minimized.

Once you learned that you're pregnant, stop taking the birth control pill"

Many women who become pregnant continue taking the pill because they have no clue that they are pregnant. Ideally, you should stop taking the pill 3 months before you plan to become pregnant. But not all pregnancies are planned. In spite of warning you might have read or heard, there's no reason for alarm. Statistically, there is no good evidence of an increased risk to a baby when the mother has conceived while on the pill, or continured to take the pill for the first month of pregnancy. However, as soon as you learn you are pregnant, stop taking them. If you are at all concerned, your doctor can run tests to see it any damage has been done, but that is very unlikely, unless you use more than directed, throughtout your whole pregnancy.

I acquired unwell throughout my pregnancy from the 2nd trimester until I was once in labour, and even then I threw up once (from the epidural; emergency c-part). Nothing I took worked at all, however I discovered that it would be exacerbated by means of matters similar to low blood sugars (i'm diabetic) and motion. Which supposed that I used to be in poor health each SINGLE TIME I bought in a car to head to work, or searching or some thing I was once doing that day. The object is, you have got to hold things down for yourself and your little one. You and your child are sharing vitamins and minerals, so for those who wouldn't have adequate, the baby will take them anyway and go away you with a deficiency. If these drugs aid you preserve meals down, they perhaps very vital. If this goes on long run, you could be in a little bit of trouble. So, take the medications whilst you need them, and try and suffer the complications. My case isn't common, so there's a huge threat that you're going to stop having nausea after the primary trimester is over. I found the Ginger pills did nothing, and the only means I coped with the combo of nausea, reflux and vomiting was once to constantly have soda water and milk around. Not together, of direction, that will often make you believe worse ;) I really enjoyed my pregnancy, despite nausea and a few very embarrassing public vomiting (haha) and i am hoping you may have the possibility to calm down and think about the alterations happening in and to you :) Congratulations on your being pregnant, good success :)

It's a very tiny chance that you will harm the baby. Lots of women make this mistake and go on to deliver healthy babies. The pill is made up of hormones that the female body makes anyway, so if it doesn't cause a miscarriage in the first few days of pregnancy, the chances of any harm being done is small. But still, as soon as you suspect you are pregnant you should stop taking it and start taking pre-natal vitamins instead!

There is always a chance, but it's a very small chance. I know lots of people who were still on the pill when they found out they were pregnant and everyone's child is just fine. I wouldn't worry a bit! A lot of the pills just keep you from releasing an egg, but makes your body think you still are so that you will continue to have a period. So I think really all that was happening was that the pill might've been keeping you from releasing another egg which you wouldn't have been doing anyways since you are pregnant. I wouldn't at all! Just enjoy being pregnant!Congratulations!!! Good luck to you!!!

Yes it can harm the baby and it can be born with defects for example my friends mum was taking it as she didnt realise she was pregnant and when my friend was born she had an extra set of nipples which never grew until she became pregnant with her little girl. She had to have them removed after her daughter was born and was in a lot of pain.
