American, and I think Hollywood's best movies are still very good. But, I think the average quality has been in a decline for decades.
Many current hollywood movies, in my opinion, depend too much on special effects. They may be exciting right now, but technology's always advancing. Once their effects look outdated, nobody will want to see them again-- except to laugh at how stupid people were back in 2006.

Born & raised !00% white American. Now, I think Hollywood needs to start coming up with original ideas. I've noticed that more and more movies are remakes. I'm not sure what's original and what's a remake anymore. That's pretty sad.
One more thing. I don't mind books being made into movies in general, but most of the time Hollywood takes "creative license" with these perfectly good stories. Take HP and the Goblet of Fire. They cut huge chunks of the story out of that movie. The book, though, did have a thick plot and was 400 pages long, so i'll let that slide. Then there's Aquamarine. There's a book by the same name, but I know it's not the same story just by looking at commercials. Why? Because, in the book, the mermaid didn't even come out of the pool until the very last second. Typical.

They play it to safe, the movies are to predictable and movie makers are to focused on the bottom line. I think there is no orginality in Hollywood anymore.

Nothing wrong with Hollywood! It's where talented people go for maximum exposure. I think it's cool. British.

i am a female indian teen and i hate hollywood. for that matter, i hate bollywood. rather, i hate how people worship these people who have done nothing for them and are earning so much money to have sex with people they shouldnt, make movies out of it and sell this mindless entertainment. not all entertainment is bad, of course, but the majority is. and why are these actors called celebrities? they shouldnt be celebrated.. they sacrificed nothing nor gave anything of themselves to better the world.if at all people should be celebrated, it should be those who sacrifice of themselves. doctors, teachers, firefighters.. that sorta thing.
