But your intentions were sterling?

Oh yes

In fact, I'd find it hard to say when I last redressed a "wrong" in the "right" way. Doing things the "right" way is almost always slow and inefficient, and I do like expedience.

And though my intentions are roughly okay my methods often leave a lot to be desired :oP

Yes, in fact I have.
I left it alone and that just made things
get even more out of hand and worse.

I thought by not adding fuel to the fire,
it would just pass, but this one particular
time, it backfired on me big time, so I had
to eat a lot of crow & do a lot of butt kissing.
I'll never do that again. I'll correct it right away.

sadly, yes. I opened my mouth to correct a misunderstanding - and just made things worse.

but, i did learn:
when you are right in the first place, (even when others are doing there best to make you look - and feel - bad), you don't need to defend yourself to others who are just trying to bring you down.
