If it would help to improve/heal your injury then it's possible. My father in law has a chronic back injury from on the job and his doctor said he could prescribe a hot tub for him for therapy and worker's comp would pay for it. Good luck!

Both my father and my ex-husband had debilitating back injuries sustained at their respective work, years apart. Both of their doctors told them to get firmer mattresses so their backs would have more support, and neither one of them got new mattresses paid for by Workman's comp. Not even after they were adjudged (each independantly) to have more than 15% permanent disability because of their injuries.

You can try. Talk to your treating doctor. His office can fill out the paperwork. If it's denied, ask your doctor to appeal it. There's more paperwork required for an appeal. If that doesn't work, have your doctor ask for a hearing.
I've been on Workers Comp for almost 4 years. I've had 5 surgeries on my knee and 1 on my ankle in the last four years and my doctors have had fights to get me the treatment needed. So your doctors are the people who can save your life when it comes to workers comp stuff. Workers comp is a nightmare in my own experience. Good luck to you!
