My boyfriend is 41, I am 23. Our relationship is great other than the topic of 'our friends'. He talks bad about my two best friends becuase they are both single moms. He also cuts down every other friend or aquantance of mine he meets. It is to the point that they do not want to be around him and I get put in the ackward situation of having to choose. I have never met any of his friends and actually believe that he has none. My questions are...How do I go about this situation? When I have to choose between seeing my friends or being around him am I wrong for not always picking him? I have lied to him about seeing them and feel horrible because a simple day of playing at the park with the kids becomes a web of lies. How do I take care of this situation or do I have to choose?

tell yourself, that if he doesn't care about them, then he won't care about you if something happens. what if YOU get pregnant and he leaves you? what then? your friends are what get you through life, because they don't dump you because of your looks or what situation you're in.
i say leave him (if you ever have to decide).
he's way too old for you anyway.
i mean come on....he could be your dad.

My husband is 33 and I am 26. He hates my best friend with a Passion. It is totally normal.

well, the old guy should be glad that he is getting a piece your age, he is just jealous and insecure, tell him that you are gonna see your friends whether he likes it or not, and since he's showed that he doesnt, he isnt invited and will just have to trust you.
