Why did Hurricane Katrina take place?Was Mother Nature exacting revenge on us or was it our action/inaction?

I'm trying to find out peoples opinions on why they think Hurricane Katrina took place. I would really appricate you to share your opinion with me.

are you crazy? Hurricane Katrina occured because that is what nature is, Hurricanes, Earthquakes etc.
It was a NATURAL DISASTER..

Do you think George Bush & other world leaders decided to go to the highest point of New Orleans and blow till they started a hurricane?

Its a natural disaster there isn't always conspiracies behind everything,

Why has a *natural* bushfire just started near Sydney? Because that is nature!!

Um... Hurricanes happen every year. While Katrina was definitely regretable (especially the government's inaction), it was not the worst. In Galveston, TX in 1900 there was a hurricane that killed about 8000 people. I don't know a lot about the weather, but I bet Hurricane Katrina happened because of pressure systems or something like that.

Like any reference to "Santa Claus" after age 9, there's no such thing. There's no such thing as "Mother Nature" either "Mother Nature" is a man made definition for acts of God.
and Man has absolutely no idea why events such as Katrina take place. Just like they have no idea why there was a Tsunami.
Oh you can look up "Hurricanes" and "Tsunamis", and "tornadoes" and "blizzards" and "tropical storms." You'll find many explanations about weather patterns, and wind, and heat and etc.These are mostly scientific reasons.
But for the REAL reason for these tragedies Man simply has NO answers He studies the weather. But he hasn't got a real reason for Katrina..

Some answer that 'mother nature' had some purpose is exciting, but I fear that there is a dull reality that it was due to natural forces which have no motive. Look at the smoke rising from a cigarette, it adopts swirls and eddies, weather systems are much the same, storms occur subject to the laws of physics, nothing more.
