I think this is the off season that they actually trade Manny. The Angels would love a bat and there is always a rumor going about Manny, but I don't see him taking his act to a Mike Scioscia managed team. San Diego could use him, and Theo does love to trade with them, but they probably can't afford him. Houston maybe, for a pitcher?? LA talk also has Julio Lugo going to the Red Sox as second base short stop. Too bad, I like Mark Loretta and think he could be an asset to them another year. Alex Gonzalez is a great fielder and his glove makes up for his .255 batting average. I agree that Trot is gone, and I don't know where he would end up, with his history of injuries. Sorry to see him go. I'll always remember his bases loaded double in Game 4 in 2004.
