is the qualtiy & sound level of i-pod & i-pod nano is same, & is it the best mp3 player available in the market or some other model is better?

Buy for your specific needs. If you don't want video playback then don't pay for it. Don't let yourself be caught up in the "wow" factor.
I have a nano and love it. It's small, easy to carry, durable, no moving parts (unlike the video ipods) I can take it on my workouts, or anywhere.
Just go with whatever your needs are, it's really a personal choice.

Get the new Ipod nano if you only want 4-8 GB and no video. The nano is sleek and it comes in silver, blue, green, and pink (4GB) or Black (8GB).

it isnt much more for an ipod video, and dude ipod videos are sweet being able to play videos (which take up a lot of space so you need 30-80 gb) i would buy the video because i like tv shows and movies and stuff

ipod nanos are smaller and look a lot nicer. they also now come in a nice range of colours
