and the strive for more, outside of the corporate view? What impacts will these perceptions have on the long term sustainability of the country, and how do you think that current monetary views are influencing the obvious corruption that is taking place in both government and corporate settings?

Oh look cinner is here. Poor thing doesn't even know how to answer the "real" political questions. She's not smart enough, she only knows how to "try" and insult those she is threatened by. Nice photo, most people would be too embarrassed to post that.

Now try answering an intelligent question!

I think America is drifting from the actual values that it was created. It was created to be a people's democracy with equal opportunity for everyone, now we have the "golden rule" (he who has the gold makes the rules) in its place and with this people making rules the oportunities for everyone are disapearing.

Excellent question, and not a quick or easy answer.

First, America has been fully indoctrinated into confusing and connecting Capitalism with democracy, when in fact, they are counter productive. Media advertisements and politic have been actively schooling us on being good consumers, creating personal debt via credit, wanting more, wanting better, and never being satisfied.

America has been fully indoctrinated into confusing socialism with communism. Socialism is very complementary to democracy, but most people completely misunderstand it. What's wrong with getting something BACK for all the taxes you pay, like dental and medical?

America has been duped into party-line politics, when lobbyists have the general say in which direction our nation swings. Mega-corporations own our media, news, and pretty much buy-out our politician's votes. Cost of living has gone up over the decades, but our means to pay hasn't. Labor laws have seen a decline. Health care, medication, and insurance vastly favor the RECEIVER of the money. You can't do without, but don't get much benefit with.

Few folks are paying any attention at all to the FACT that our country (literally), it's properties, and it's business is being sold out to foreign interests. Our "own" Federal Reserve system is primarily a PRIVATELY-OWNED bank conglomerate of mostly FOREIGN banks, and not a government institution at all. FOREIGNERS CREATE AND CONTROL OUR MONEY...WE PAY THEM TO DO IT. ( Do a "Federal Reserve" search...drink much wine first, you'll need it.)

Commercialism (capitalism) has taught us to desire, aquire, then retire...most likely to the couch/TV to gorge on carbs, and put ourselves into that couch-potato life-is-wonderful wonderland of apathy and self-righteous "why should I care" attuitude Americans are so world-famous for.

MEGA-corporations are consolidating the world...globalism. Supply/demand controls need/profit. It's ALL about profit...but first to control. They already own all of our media, so the major news agencies are tainted with their "spin". For instance, with our government's assistance, Monsanto and Dupont have genetically engineered seeds whose mature plant's seeds will not germinate. Every year, farmers will have to buy new seeds from whoever sells/controls them. (Search: "terminator seeds") The same way they control the flow/worth of money, they will control the world's food supply, or lack of.

We are headed for SOMEthing. The Patriot Act increased a President's power, and increased (legalized) protections the government has from us citizens. Meanwhile, it diminished our civil rights, liberties, guarantee of due process, and protections WE would have had against unfair treatment by our owngovernment. We aren't terrorists, and this is OUR country, so why in the world would our government do that? Watch out, if you fight back, you could get labeled a threat (under the Patriot Act's vague defintion), be thrown in military prison with no lawyer, no access to the evidence against you, a military trial that needs only 2/3rds vote for conviction, then either deportation or remain in custody for however long they want to. Whatever is coming will apparently be enforced...BY FORCE.

We have been led here, yes...but it's no one's fault except ours that we chose to let others do our thinking (and planning) for us. HELL is coming. Will we fight, or make pitiful excuse to just sit on the couch and get fatter, thinking of some way to make this all the "liberal's" fault? Amazing what materialism and greed can get you, isn't it?
