I was wondering if there was a website that had rescued ferrets for adoption. I would be looking in the US.

Here is a link to the American Ferret Association: http://www.ferret.org/index.shtm . They have a shelter list right on the home page. Also be sure to check petfinders website: http://www.petfinder.com for shelters that may not be listed on AFA's website. If you are a new ferret owner, I really recommend the book FERRETS FOR DUMMIES. It seriously is the best ferret care and everything else book for ferrets. I also noticed that it also has a list of ferret shelters in the country. The rescue my little weasels came from was not in AFA's website but it was in the back of the DUMMIES book. I have 8 little fuzzbutts and have owned ferrets for years, but I still refer to this book. You can also get a list of ferret vets in the country on AFA's website. Good luck with your new ferrets

Of course ! Go to www.petfinder.com & they can help you find locations closest to you & most of them provide pictures & information . Also - I recently went to google & typed in "Ferret Shelters in _____" & added my location & I recieved lots of them.

www.petfinder.com They have ferrets listed on their site. www.craigslist.com might have some listed as well.
You may also try your local Humane Society and SPCA as both organizations take in ferrets.
