i have a batch of homegrown and its already harvested, how long should i dry the buds out for?

you need to "cure" them,some folks use gallon jars.

Congratuations on your rose growing skills! Roses can be hard to grow sometimes.
The best way to dry out rosebuds is to hang them against a wall, with the rosebud down. After 24 hours spray them with hairspray, and let them sit for a week or two. Make sure that they don't touch each other. After a couple of weeks, you can take them down and display them in a nice vase.

Seriously, I don't have a clue how to dry weed. Good luck with that...

10 to 12 days you should see all of the chlorophyl gone
