Yes definately! Always had a really cool Saturday watching Philip Scholfield on Going LIve and then settle down for Ski Sunday and a yummy Sunday tea the next day! Arrhhh. Rose tinted glasses! Still get the same chill out feeling on a Sunday but it has changed a bit - maybe cos the shops weren'y open on Sundays when we were kids???

Yes, Saturday was always different than Sunday. It still is. On Saturday you still have the whole weekend ahead of you. It is usually when you go our and do things, shop, picnic, etc. On Sundays you might go to church, things are closed, and then there is the dread of having to get up the next morning for school (when you're young) and now work. Tho I dread work a lot less than school ;-)

I AGREE !!! Saturday felt better because there was no school the next day, the TV was better, you could stay up late, probably had take away for tea etc. Sundays meant..school the next day, checking homework, bath and early bedtime with songs of praise in the background.Things havent changed much except now we have work and not school!

I agree, as a kid Saturday Cartoons were the only TV we watched all week, it was our time. Sunday Morning we went to church and it was God's time.... the rest of the week was school time.

These days kids watch TV all the time, the ones that happen to go to church come home to sit in front of the TV some more.

Saturday was great and Sunday was boring (pubs opened late and closed early, hardly any shops open and songs of praise on the telly). But things are getting better, pubs open later, Sunday shopping and I haven't heard a hymn for ages. ....Hopefully as time goes on there won't be any difference and then we can enjoy 2 decent days off without fear of being persecuted and moralised at by the god squad.

HI BILL, YES it still is the same.Saturdays always had a different feel because saturday gives you one more day to enjoy yourself before going back to school or work.
Sundays,You knew that your fun was ending, and you would have 5 more days to wait for saturday again.Yes,always the same.
