Mass= volume x density. The volume will go up greatly, the bread takes up much more space than the ingredients. The volume will at least double. As the volume goes up the density will go down, because air is cooked in and liquid is evaporated out. I would say it would be close to the same, because when you multiply them out, if volume goes up the density will go down and this will give you the same general answer.

PS- You can also think of it this way...The mass of the liquid that evaporates is lost, but the mass of air that is baked into the bread is gained. (Most people forget that air has mass)

Since some of the ingredients, such as water, evaporate in the oven, baked bread's mass will be less than that of the original ingredients mass.

PS. The law of the conservation of mass applies to all of the end products including the gas released, however since baked bread's mass does not include the escaped gas's mass it does not apply here.

In the hands of true believers I doubt the poison would work. God would intervene. The trick to that is in the faith placed in Jesus. Has the ceremony still got meaning are or people just going through the motion out of habit. Only God would know for sure. On the other hand God may choose to call his faithful home and they would pass away and right into his kingdom because who ever poisoned the wafer in the first place surely was a child of satan and thus a persecutor of those who have put their faith in Jesus. There are many places that the Bible points out that people will die for their faith in Jesus. A scenario like you have illustrated could go either way depending upon God's will.

I don't know a formula for it or anything--I guess you'd have to make some bread dough and weigh it, then bake it and weigh it again. It would be a little bit less since some steam (liquid turning to vapor as it bakes) escapes while baking. But not much less.

It is the same. The Law of Conservation of Mass says that mass can neither me created of destroyed.
