Believe it or not, the ones Western society worship--the Romans and Greeks--had a promiscuous societies and were openly bisexual and homosexual.

I am not condoning promiscuous behavior due to the potential for disease, but if two adults want to have sex, why should others disapprove? If it is consensual and biologically safe, then why must others criticize? How do people lose self-respect if they engage in consensual sexual activity with other adults?

(I never used to think like this, but now I'm 20, meaning more common sense. )

Now you're 20. Read the news. The disapproval is disappearing fast. Many countries have legalized these practices and openly allow it because this is also part of freedom, as long as it is:
1. between legal adults
2. not in public places
3.not harmful or unsafe for others
4. does not in any way influence your job prospects
5. not used for making trouble

Because contemporary society needs something to (female dog) about. I say lets go back to the Roman and Greek times. You only live once.

I'm gonna go with the Puritan theory here. In Europe, it's far less taboo to be more promiscuous. America, however, was settled by Puritans who didn't like all that sexy-dancy-drinky-stuff. They liked to knit to rid themselves of sexual frustrations, apparently! That's why it's so hard to talk about sex, at least in my mind. Its a strange mind, yes, but I like it.

For most people sex is about procreation. As you know one can only procreate with a woman AND a man. Therefore it is unnatural to have sex between any other combination of individuals.

Because of religion.

Religions like christianity and islam try to separate man from nature (because death is natural; part of nature) and sex makes our link to the rest of the animal kingdom obvious. So does evolution, and they hate that too.
