I have to say absolutely not! The federal government should've stayed out of this sensitive matter, which was already in the Florida state courts. Instead, they should focus on how to get our troops of this illegal occupation of Iraq that Bush has made, balance the budget, strengthen homeland security, beef up our borders, etc. I mean the government was WAY, WAY out of line on the Terri Schiavo case! Even the Florida government was the same way, too!

they overstepped the boundaries.
God never said, use every technical means to keep the body alive. Even if the brain is gone.
Her spirit was gone that was an empty shell of a body. But more important how much power do we want the government to have in our lives? So that they can make decisions of life and death.
This time it was for her to live. Maybe the next president will be that all old people or disabled have to die.
Government should not have the power to make life and death decisions.

I believe the govt. intervention was due to the conflict between her parents and her husband and who should speak for her. Typically I would side with the husband, as the rumors that he was at fault for her condition had no evidence supporting them. However I feel that his judgment is suspect because he had taken a new significant other and had fathered 2 kids since Terri entered the state of needing life support.

Well, I've been getting circular e-mails from the Religious Right telling me that there is now new evidence that Terri Schiavo was sentient and must have known what was going on about her, and that she was MURDERED BY LIBERALS.
I wonder.

no that was ridiculous, the government had no business getting involved in that situation. it was disgusting how they had her face all over tv and magazines, so much for respecting those in need.
