I am trying to figure out how flammable diesel is and if you were driving a deisel car and it got in an accident, would there be an explosion liket here would be in a gasolin car? I have heard that tanks in WWII that were deisel did not explod when hit, is this true?

diesel is hard to ignite, even with a lighting match. And it does not explode [no more than petrol does!] It simply ingnites. But ever so slowly compared with petrol!

Hi. I'm afraid lots of tanks exploded in WWII. They carry explosive rounds. The vapor pressure determines how flammable a fuel is. I would search on "vapor pressure" and diesel.
