what are the benefits of a razor vs electric shaver? I've also heard that for people with darker hair/skin, using an electric shaver creates the greenish effect around the skin, due to the way it cuts the hairs, is this true?

Well, I notice it looking alittle grey, not a green. The benefits of using a razor other than an electric shaver for is: With a razor you get closer to thr root of the hair which makes the face feel smoother. With an electric shaver the face feels rough.

A razor will give you a closer shave and leave your skin softer. An electric shaver with cause some skin irritation on some men and will not give you a close shave.

A razor will give you a closer shave, and an electric shaver is more for quick shaves. It works well enough to get you by for that day.
