Firefox is much better, in my opinion.
Netscape Navigator is produced by AOL software, which means that it is a free browser only for the purposes of futhering AOL's goals. This means that there may be advertising built into the browser, and the installation packages often come with unwanted software.
It's not that secure (especially compared with the new Opera and Firefox), and besides it leaves very little room for expansion and improvement.
Mozilla Firefox offers extensions and themes to make your Internet experience more enjoyable, and good Active-X security and Java controls to prevent malware from infilitrating your computer via shady sites. It also is open-source, so the whole online programming community is releasing free extensions and additions to improve Firefox, which is a great thing.

Netscape is outdated........not enough left in tht,i wonder why didn't ya said IE7 vs Mozila or opera..anyways..
FireFox is the best..tht you can have today.
1.) Mozilla Firefox is open source ... meaning many people can modify the code of the application and improve if they want. There is a lot of stuff that Mozilla Firefox has to offer and you can find some good stuff at http://firefox.puropc.com/
2.) even Internet Explorer ... as usual is ripping off the tabbed navigation first developed my mozilla [tab is highly appreciated tech.]
3.) Firefox has the control and flexibility to import settings from Internet Explorer ... Does Netscape have the ability to import settings from others... the simple answer is NO
4)Pop-up ads are also easily blocked. In this new version, I've noticed the program tells me when it has blocked an ad on a particular site, though now and then one still gets through. It's imperfect, but better than Explorer, which requires buggy add-on software created by third parties to block pop-ups in all their annoying iterations.
have a look on

Sometimes you can't download things from Mozilla because that particular website doesn't suppor the browser, but for the most part, Mozilla is better than Netscape (in my opinion).

Non-sense...I'm using IE as we speak. Some things need IE or they won't work at all. If you don't have an anti-virus program, get one ASAP ! And try and run a scan to get rid of any virus you may have...You can go to www.download.com and download a free anti-virus program. But your best bet is to spend a few dollars on Norton anti-virus or McAfee virus scan 2006. McAfee has updates almost everyday. You can go to www.mozilla.com and download Firefox. I use both IE and Firefox myself.

No question about it - Firefox. I've used both. The fox is faster, lighter, can use more apps, and, like the previous person said, there are IE extensions that allows more use of IE tools.
