You should find all the info you need there. I don't see South Africa listed as one of the 32 countries that is elligible to apply electronically, so you may have to print out a form and send it to the Australian embassy closest to you. You need to apply for a visitor visa at the Australia Embassy / High Commission in the country where you are currently residing. If you are in South Africa you need to apply through the Australian High Commission in Pretoria. If you are in the UK you should apply through the Australian High Commission in London.

You will need to complete form 48, pay the visa application fee and provide supporting documents such as bank statements, employment reference, passport.

Your travel agent should be able to obtain the visa when you purchase the ticket. They'll need your passport number to do it and it's done electronically.
You'll definately need an entry visa to get into Australia, guaranteed~ I visit there regularly.
