You are not to old to emigrate.
The problem can be with where you want to emigrate to.
Some locations like New Zealand are difficult to emigrate to. There are a number of businesses that aid people with the problem, but I'd be careful.
A comprehensive source for information on emigrating to New Zealand is listed below. Be careful if you decided to use one of the services listed along the right side. They aren't necesssarily endorsed by the website, just companies that paid Google to be listed.

YES! GO! If you've got good reason to be there and funds for self-sufficiency, then I'm sure they won't have any problem with you being there.
My thought would be: where would I want to die? I'm not being morbid but, you know, you're past the four score years and ten stage so time's counting, right? And I would definitely want to see out my last years gazing at the glorious beauty that is NZ.
Oh, and my Stepdad's on the wrong side of 70 and he went last Christmas, and is probably aiming to go again (he visits my stepsis).
In fact, this sounds VERY much like a question he would ask. Dad, is that you????

I'm only 48 so I'm reluctant to say - but starting all over again in a new country at 77 strikes me as tough. With so much behind you, family, friends, memories - are you not strongly linked to all that ? Would you really leave all that to start out fresh, finding new friends and building a new life with so much of your life behind you ?

You may be turned down because countries are looking for younger, employed immigrants. Most countries don't want someone they think will be a drain on their resources like health care. But why not give it a try

i dont think so, i think your never too old (forgive me for being blunt but..) you arnt in the spring of your youth and you may aswell go for the highest quality of life, for as long as u have it. i am not sure about the legalities of emigrating at your age, maybe you should look on the country's info website.

You should go if you want to. If you are alive and in decent health, you are never too old.
