Baking soda and a little water may do the trick, however you can buy at the dollar store some of that Gold Awesome, they named the product right when they named it Awesome, If the Oven Cleaners won't work and the Baking Soda, or Awesome doesn't work, you can Scrape it off with a New Razor Blade if you have a Ceramic finish, other wise just be careful not to cut into the surface by laying the blade flat as possible and carefully scrape it off. I had this same problem last week cleaning a ladies Stove top and it came out like new.

You can either do one of two things. Spray it with oven cleaner in a well ventilated area- open window. Spray it on while it is still warm. After 10-15 mins. wipe clean. Or, pour some soapy water on the top, leave it for a little while, and when you return to it , it should be easier to clean. Tip: Always clean cooker after each use.

Sometimes oven cleaner will work, if not spray with straight ammonia, leave kitchen window open, cover with a trash bag and let set a few hours, this should loosen it up and it should wipe away farily easy, this is also great for cleaning gas burner grids and grids on a grill, put burner grids are grill grids in plastic trash bag add ammonia and close bag and let set in the sun for a few hours, then remove and wash with hot water and dishwashing soap.

Do not use a oven cleaner cause it may damage the enamel on your stove top. I suggest that you use a rag with pure ammonia to clean your enamel stove top. If you have to just have the rag soaked with ammonia and leave it on the enamel for about 30 minutes and then check it out....Good Luck to you.... Get a green scrubby to clean your stove after the ammonia..

If you are talking about a ceramic top (or glass) I used to fight w/ a razor blade to get cooked on stains off until I found a product called Cerama Bryte! It works like magic! Just pour on and let sit, then come back w/ a damp paper towel and the stains come right off! I found this product at an appliance store!

I just usually spray a good amount of 409 on the burnt food and just let it sit there for about 10 minutes and 98% of the time it will just wipe right off. Sometime I do have to reapply the 409.

Get some 'Vim' cream cleaner. Leave it on for a little while and then wipe off. Or use the green scrubies that are soft. It works great. Then after that use it when ever you think you should.
