Where no one else will find it!!
JUST KIDDING!!
Do you have floor boards? Panels in your ceiling? You could also build a false back on one of your drawers, a small space between the real back and a thin panel that your journal will fit in so that if anyone opens the drawer it looks like the back of the drawer. Good luck :) I know how bad it feels to have someone read your personal writings :)

I think the best thing to do is if you can afford to buy a small fire-proof safe. You could put it in your closet where it is out of sight, and if someone finds it they would have to come to you to open it. At least your private thoughts would not be invaded without your knowledge. Good luck.

Cut the end of your pillow open and put the journal inside the pillow. I mean inside the PILLOW ITSELF, not just inside the pillowcase. To keep the insides of the pillow from coming out, use a baby diaper safety pin to pin it shut after you've inserted the journal.

Put it in an empty box of something not-so-tasty and keep it in the freezer or the fridge. Don't use something good like popsicles or someone may run across it looking for a treat!

In a safe only you have the combo or key for. Or in a trash can, under the can liner (only if you are the one who takes out the trash, though.)
Or taped to the underside of a dresser drawer (open the drawer below to tape it up).

Put it in a locked safe. Then no one can get to it. You can buy one at Walmart for $20 - $30.

Inside another book. Hollow out a larger book such as a dictionary, then put it on a shelf with other reference books.
