It's good that you care about her feelings. I think this is easier than you realize. If you want to move in with your cousins, you can tell her something to do with "family." I know this is not an easy situation. If you want to level with her, tell her that you love her dearly and value her friendship. The very differences that brought you together as friends might not work in a living situation. Smile,be nice....do NOT be pushed into anything out of fear of hurting feelings, or guilt. You will regret it and probably lose a friend. How's this... "I value our friendship too much to jeopardize it,by the 2 of us living together." Pray about it. The answer will come to you...your heart is good.

DO YOU WANT YOUR COUSINS TO MOVE IN? IF YOU RENT YOU MIGHT BE OFF THE HOOK, MAKE UP SOMETHING ABOUT HAVING ONLY SO MANY ROOMIES. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM LYING THEN YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL, WHICH WOULD BE THE RIGHT THING TO DO. TELL HER GENTLY YOU HAVE GIVEN IT A LOT OF THOUGHT, YOU NEED SPACE AND PRIVACY AND YOU WOULD PREFER TO LIVE ALONE. OR IF THE RELATIVES ARE MOVING IN, THEY ARE YOUR HIGHER RESPONSIBILITY. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE ALONE, TOO, IF THAT'S YOUR CHOICE. A TRUE FRIEND WOULD UNDERSTAND SO IF SHE GETS ANGRY THEN AT LEAST YOU'LL KNOW WHERE YOU STAND ON THAT ISSUE. IT'S TRUE, BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER BUT IF YOU DON'T WANT RELATIVES THERE EITHER YOU CAN DO THE SAME THING. THEY'RE STUCK WITH YOU EVEN IF THEY GET MAD!

You can always tell her it's a money issue. That you would be paying less living w/family. Or you can just be straight up with her, tell her you love her as a friend and want to keep the friendship and that you think living together would jeopardize that. That you think you are a more compatible housemate with your relatives. Honesty is always the best policy.

Tell her that you will be in alot of trouble with your family if you move in with her instead of your cousins. Blood is thicker than water.
