Have there been any studies of radiation from wireless routers hurting animals? I know EMFs can slow reproduction rates, and cell phones cause brain scarring. I'm doing a science fair project to see how it affects Planaria's regeneration, so any information would be a huge help. Thanks! (-=

No, not even for planaria.

The wattage is very low (30 milliwatt to 1.0 watt max.) and the EMF is small. The 60 cycle background "hum" from normal household electrical wiring actually has a more energetic field.

I'll be giving you a thumbs up on that question. There are a lot of scientific studies that come down on both sides. But at least this is true, anything you are exposed to, even the air and water, affects you when you come into contact with it. I really don't know but it is a good question because it as one scientist said, "brought shortwave emiters into the living room." However other scientists say the amount is so small that they are not dangerous. I refuse to have one in my house.

Do you listen to FM radio? Do you drive a car? Do you fly in planes? Do you walk through metal detectors at the airport/school? Do you go sit in the sun?

If so, you have nothing to worry about in terms of excessive radiation from a wireless router. If you avoid all of those things, you should go live under a rock in the woods.

Only if you poke yourself in the eye with the antenna. Actually the power level is so low that you have nothing to worry about. You get more dangerous radiation from the Sun.
