you can never be absolutely certain
you can be most confident it is right if you are constantly and very openmindedly checking it against reality, ie finding it agrees with everything in reality
the closed mind, that thinks an opinion is a medal to enhance the ego, and has completely lost sight of the fact that opinions are essays of truth, and that we are totally dependent on truth to be happy, has departed from sanity and is selfdestructive [almost all people]
test everything and hold on to what seems good - and keep testing it - like railway engineers keep testing the wheels
truthseekers are never loyal to their own opinions - they never say: my opinion, right or wrong - they say: the truth, whether my opinion or others' [as long as i can see it for myself]
true patriots never say: my country, right or wrong [which would be to say: my country, happy or miserable] - they say: the truth, and happiness
respect for reality is the foundation of sanity - obviously
it is always good [beneficial] to see reality
however: however small the supply of truth, it always exceeds the demand - in other words, most people are insane, unreal [and consequently unhappy, and unaware of the reality of their unhappiness - they think knowing reality will not be beneficial] -
they dont want to be hurt by the thought of dogpoo, so they step in it instead - they dont want to face thinking about sh*t, so sh*t keeps happening to them
i am weird, i like to think about sh*t so i dont step in it - i am more disgusted by sh*t than by the thought of sh*t, but most people are different -sh*t [like war and 9/11s] doesnt bother them at all - it is only the thought of it that bothers them

Quite often I simply choose the more difficult of the two choices i have.
It seems that doing the right thing is always more difficult.

you know it's right from your point of view
it's not generally right because what seems right to you may seem wrong to others
so i don't think you ever know it's right( guy, thing, etc, etc whatever)
