I have seen no evidence of American Humour...... other than the monkey that they elected to lead their government... and to be honest with you... that's not funny... that was just sick.

BEcause american "humour" is flat and shallow so british people get the sense of these jokes but simply can't laugh about it. While british humour has more brain and is more complex. Americans can't deal with black humour.
(by the way I'm neither british nor american)

Bad grammar.
Huh?
Now listen up, we may both speak English, but we have a different dialect.
We take a while 2 catch on 2 Yank humour as we need 2 grasp sound-bites, slang variations etc etc.

Fanny means something entirely different here.
Hahahahahahahahaha

Laboriously slow, the American Humour......Much a quick blind ear and deaf eye is turned as a basic american joe or joanna sits, watches wheel of fortune and debates on who hogs the covers and just how awful 'them' liberals are, as they drink beer, fart, use tv trays to not miss bowling for dollars...taped ten days prior BTW...Oh what a place this is...thank good I am from Hawaii!!!!!!!~ Do NOT consider myself an american...see...I use No caps here, they do not deserve it. They don't even lie well. Simpson headed pondscumsucking ...wouldn't know alliteration of'n it hit in da dentures....alas..this lass has a ting or two to tend, allow me leave for the mo and I can perhaps another time enjoy one of your questions.

They voted a comedian into office, so they must have some sort of a sense of humour. Didn't say it was any good!!!

As for American comedy having subtleties we British wont understand, Americans cant do subtle, everything they do is hammer and tongs!!!!!

The British are too down-to-earth to fully appreciate the subtleties of American humour.

Because I think we have totally different types of senses of humour. This is probably due to our different ideals and stuff but whichever way it has to said that British humour is the best.xx.

No one is surprised by what Americans do and say because we just have no shame. The British don't get our humor because they never really know when its a joke.
