In a perfect world, none of this would matter. In our world, it depends on how independent you are; how you are affected by others; how your family feels about it and how much that matters to you. A bi-racial or bi-cultural relationship can be very special but there are challenges that you will have to deal with but it can also make you stronger and bring you closer together if handled right. Logistics have a lot to do with it as well; living in a big city has advantages where if you live in a small community that is "judgmental" about these things, it can be more difficult. Of course anyone can be together and it shouldn't matter at all. But it is also like saying, "Can a far-left Democrat and a far-right Republican be together until th end of time?" I would say, that is far less likely to succeed than race. Fundamental beliefs are difficult to overcome if they are so different. I have been in a bi-racial marriage for over 20 years, most of it wonderful but many rocky roads. A beautiful son who loves both sides of his heritage but fortunately we both had families who loved us, live in San Fran until recently, and don't let outside influences affect our decisions. Good Luck!
