WASHINGTON: Sept, 23 ...reporting on an " intelligence assessment that said the Iraq war has "increased the terrorist threat," also saying that we are faced with "new generation of Islamic radicalism & that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks."
NEW YORK: Sept. 23 — "A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism & that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks"
So, we are engaged in a never-ending war whether we leave Iraq or not. And. we're to be faced with terrorists attacks for a long time to come.
Except, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this OLD New NEWS though does it? Because the average thinking US citizen, had figured this one out a long long time ago.
It's going to take decades, if not centuries to get oout of this one.
A modern day war. Stone Age tactics.

ah, are you telling me that ALL U.S. newspapers are run by liberals? and aren't most breaking news type stories from anonymous sources?
So please; we all get news from any number of sources, and nothing is "clasified" anymore anyway. And by the reading of the earlier posts, we ALL know that the Iraq invasion and occupation has led to a rise in terrorist attacks. Its no secret unless you have your head in the sand. Do you really ascribe to the notion that terrorists don't and can't find out about what's going on in the U.S. unless they see it in some U.S. newspapers?
The U.S. so-called 'liberal" press has nothing to do with the release of so-called 'classified' material. In fact it seems to me that that our U.S. newspapers are extremely 'late' regarding nearly all news stories, probably because other foreign newspapers cover the same issues as are covered here, only they do so much earlier than the U.S. press.
