Okay, for Halloween, I want to be one of the girls from t.a.t.u., in their video for, All The Things She Said, or Ya Soshla S Uma. In the video, they wear red plaid skirts, pulled up high, a long white sleeved buttoned down shirt, tucked in, i think white knee highs, school shoes, and a tie. I am 13, and go to a Catholic K-8 school. Is this appropriate? (Watch the video on google, to see how I would dress)

It sounds appropriate to me. However, I don't think a lot of people will get who you were trying to be.

I think it's totally appropriate, I was thinking of doing the same thing. But sine you go to a catholic school, some people may get freaked out. What school do you go to? Which one will you be? (I love Elena). But the real key is the makeup because you dont want people to think you are dressed up as a prep or something(especially since a prep is the farthest thing from t.A.T.u.). I guess it kind of depends on what state you go to school in and how open minded they are about the whole lezzie rock thing. Do you wear a uniform? I assume so, in which case, it wouldnt matter to me, but you know how the schools are. Consdidering it was all an act anyway, I see no reason they should get ticked off. Email me and i can definitely help. (Plus, you could use the prep excuse or saying you are "an A+ student" for adults and teachers, or other people you're concerned about knowing who you are dressing as.) Wouldn't it make life a whole lot easier if you had someone to go with as the other girl?

I think it is a cute idea. The shoes are called Mary Jane's. And the only down side I can see is that it would be a very small almost nonexistent number of people who would understand what it is you are trying to portray; which may make it even better. I'm not sure I would let my daughter get lined up with t.a.t.u. because of the inappropriate context of their lyrics, but hey, you are developing your morals at this age, and can decide later if that is a value image you wish to portray. Happy Haunting! Nana

I think you should ask your mother and/or father about this. Some of the teachers at your school might take offense, thinking you're making fun of girls who dress in uniforms at Catholic schools. You will need your parents to back you up, in case you have a problem with one of them. If you're not wearing it to school, then I'd say it is just fine, as long as you don't degrade Catholic girls in so doing.

I had a friend do that and she looked fine but because you go to Catholic school I'm not sure if it's the best ideal, but itf that's how you want to dress, go for it!!! People go out of their normal confort zone on Halloween and people never really base now you look on Halloween to how you dress on normal days. But what ever you go as, have fun!

My friend was a hooker once for Halloween. I go to a public school, but it's small and is said to be a lot like a private school.

Time to answer questions not watch videos. That said, just be decent, or you may be looking for trouble. There are bad and/or stupid people out there.
