I shave mine too, I've just been thinking about it a lot lately and I like to hear ideas about why feel better when we do this... the psychology behind it.

I shave because of the simple fact that I am a girl, and I like feeling clean and soft. I do have a b/f and I'm pretty sure if I didn't shave he wouldn't like that very much. Its just a good feeling when you rub your legs and they feel smooth.

I shave my legs because I like the smooth feeling and the hair on my legs grows in patches. Plus, that extra hair catches on some fabrics (pants, skirts, & tights) and I hate that pulling feeling. It's almost like a bug is biting me and I can't stand that.
I shave my armpits and trim my "downstairs" because excess hair holds in the sweat which mixes with the natural bacteria and causes odor. Without the hair, you sweat less in those areas.

well, my reason for shaving is probably different from everyone elses, I shave because I am a ballet dancer, and when I wear tights, you can see all the hair right through, so I prefer to have smooth legs because it distracts me and makes me self concious. also, I shave my armpits because, again,for the same reason, it looks really gross, and traps the sweat while Im dancing. plus, as a dancer, you need to be more aerodynamic to be able to spin and dance well, that is why we pull our hair back into buns, its just something you have to do.....

I usually shave them for my own comfort...I sleep without bottoms on and I dont like the feeling of hairy legs, even if they are my own....

I Do it because i only prefer to have hair on my head.. & i like the smooth feeling of the bareness of the skin everywhere

Mostly because of peer pressure- a lot of highschool girls look down on you if you don't. Then once I started, it annoyed me to have scruffy legs. Good question!

I don't shave. I don't grow hair on my legs, and hardly any in other places. I am not an ape.
