I would recommend the Oasis Park Hotel in Paco Manila,close to the shopping district of Ermita. It has a pool and a 24 hour restaurant. Rates are about $30 per night and up. Phone ++62-2-521 2371 or fax ++63-2-521 2393

Try Executive Plaza on Mabini street in Ermita. It is very clean, and close to the baywalk, malls, restaurants, and casino. I have stayed at a few of the others mentioned but have found Executive to be a very good value when compared to the others. It's around $32/night as per last May.

I would recomend the Swagman Hotel. I have stayed there three times. The rooms are OK. The restaurant in the hotel is good. They have pick up service to the airport. They are very near the American Embassy.
