Each time zone is 15 degrees of longitude and you lose an hour going east to west. So when it is 3PM EST it is 2PM CST

first, you need to look at a phone book because they usually have the map of the united states with all the time zones--that is something you just can't keep going through life without knowing! it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. central time is one hour behind eastern time. if it's 3pm eastern time, then it's 2pm central time. this is basic information! and it makes your life a lot easier if you know how to do it by heart. (if you can't find it in the phone book, i'm sure that the "time zones" are online somewhere; heck there's probably even a time zone calculator so you don't have to do it yourself).

its
GMT (-5:00) Eastern time
GMT (-6:00) Central standard time.
meaning 1 hour less, so if it's 3:00pm Eastern time its 2:00pm Central time
I hope I answered ur question :)
