I have been a Bengals fan for some time now, and I know that the Bengals and the Stelers HATE each other for some reason. But I have not been able to find the answer why. If anyone has the REAL reason could you share it with me, thank you.

The rivalry has intesified lately. Both teams are in AFC north. Also, a lot of their players came from the same neighborhoods. The Bengals have played the Steelers more than any other NFL team. Dick Lebeau has had coaching positions on both teams, creating a strong link between the two. Also, Cicni is out for revenge after the Steelers took Cinci out of the playoffs last year, and took out Palmers knee. There a lot of reasons for this rivalry, its one of the best in the NFL.

This game was big because the Bengals lost the playoffs after they knock Carson out last year with that very serious knee injury. I think the Bengals wanted a little bit of revenge and prove that they can beat them

I think Pittsburgh knocked the Bengals out of the playoffs last year. Not sure though.

This has been a rivalry sine Pittsburg joined the AFC in 1970.
